Start-up Video Guide

General description:

  • At this stage of the start-up project you need to make a 5 to 10-minute video.
  • This video is a team effort and all team members must be present in the video.
  • For ease of work, group members can go to the studio and make a video.
  • In this video, each member of the group must introduce themselves within 2 minutes.
  • After introducing the members, you must explain the project to Rajab.
  • In the presentation, you can use presentation tools such as: PowerPoint, animation, short film, image or banner.
  • Be sure to wear formal clothes.
  • Speak openly in the video with a smile.
  • Use hand and body language.
  • Do not talk constantly during the introduction, try to talk a little, then use a photo or video for a few seconds and then start talking.
  • Try to summarize the company tips and information on the video.
  • In this video you have to speak in English.

Important points during filming:

  1. Camera position:
  • Position the camera so that it focuses on you.
  • It is better to be in the camera frame than just from the waist up.
  • The box is the same for all members of the group.
  • Place three-quarters of the body in the camera frame.
  • Videos should be shot in the same style and model (the video model should not collapse when edited)
  • Video quality should be high.
  • Speak loudly in the video.
  • Make good eye contact with the camera.
  1. Filming:
  • Pause for a few seconds, then start talking.
  • Video background should be white or monochrome.
  • The background color should be light.
  • Be sure to use the camera tripod.
  • Make sure the light, sound and image quality.
  • Shoot horizontally.
  1. General video specifications:
  • Make sure you record high definition video (1920 10 1080).
  • If you have an HD camera and shoot 1080p video.
  1. Save video:
  • Connect the camera to your computer to extract video
  • Save the file as an .MP4, .MPEG, .AVI, or .MOV file using your camera software (which you must install on your computer).
  • Depending on whether you are using a Mac or PC, your software may have one or all of these options.

More tips:

  • It is better to prepare the presentation text in advance.
  • It is recommended to memorize the text.
  • It is better to have a meeting with your groups and do the presentation several times to master it well.
